So much to experience...
After my anatomy exam today (only three more to go!) I went out to lunch with some friends to celebrate a friends birthday. We went to a gourmet Vegan restaurant and I must say that I was extremely aware that I come from a small city in Southern Alberta... I had no idea what half of the stuff on the menu was!! As one friend Liana said "this place is very L.A." and not the Lethbridge, AB L.A. (he he!) I am practically a meatatarian....probably because it is what I am used to...it would be more difficult to maintain a vegan or vegetarian diet in Lethbridge as there is really no restaurants or stores that cater to it (at least not that I know of?) Anyways, the food was really great and cheap. I had a "baby buddha" (by recommendation from friends) which was a noodle, tofu, and vege dish with spicy peanut sauce (my description does it no justice...I wish I had the menu). Those of you who know me and my picky eating habits will be pleased to know that I am trying (and liking) alot of new foods here. There are so many different types of food to try. My next trip will be to Sheba, an ethiopian restaurant down the street from my house ( think Along came Polly... the scene were Ruben is sweating like crazy!!!)
