I have always been good at baking, but those of you who know me well can testify to the fact that I am not much of a cook. Usually I cook the same few meals over and over again. If I do attempt a new recipe, 9/10 times it is a flop! What can I say, I am just not that much of a domestic woman! However, after eating the same things for months on end, I resolved to spice up my diet and switched up the grocery list for out last trip to the Dominion. I was excited to try out some new recipes and was so ecstatic when one actually worked. I made "tasty lettuce wraps" from the rookie cookbook that my Grandma Q. gave me before I left. Mmmmmm.... were they ever good! I was so proud that I took a picture. It really doesn't do the meal justice, but I thought I should document the moment. Not to mention the fact that it was probably the first time Dan and I have sat down at the kitchen table to eat since we have moved here.
